Storage Methods

Oxygen must be stored in a well-ventilated area, kept away from ignition sources and high-temperature objects, and situated at a safe distance from clothing and combustible materials. Valves or fastening mechanisms must be kept free of grease or oil.

Transportation Methods

Oxygen cylinders must not be contaminated with grease. When transporting cylinders, the protective safety cap must be securely attached to each cylinder. Cylinders should generally be laid horizontally, with all cylinder heads facing the same direction; they must not be stacked in a crisscross pattern. The height of the load must not exceed the vehicle's protective guardrails, and the cylinders must be firmly secured using wooden wedges to prevent rolling. Co-loading and co-transportation with flammable or combustible substances, reactive metal powders, or similar materials is strictly prohibited. During the summer months, transportation should be scheduled for the early morning or late evening to avoid exposure to direct sunlight. When transporting by rail, "hump shunting" (free-rolling of railcars) is strictly forbidden.
