During use, helium cylinders should be handled according to the "first-in, first-out" principle. Use an appropriate hand truck to move the containers; do not drag, roll, or slide the cylinders, and never attempt to lift a cylinder by its valve cap. Ensure that the cylinder remains securely anchored throughout the entire duration of use. Safely release gas from the cylinder using a pressure-reducing regulator or an independent control valve, and employ a check valve to prevent backflow. Do not heat the cylinder to increase internal pressure or discharge volume.

If the user encounters difficulty while operating the cylinder valve, usage must be discontinued. An adjustable strap wrench should be used to open valve caps that are stuck or corroded; never insert tools (such as wrenches, screwdrivers, pry bars, etc.) into the valve cap, as this may damage the valve and cause a leak. Helium is compatible with all common materials; however, piping and equipment must be designed to withstand the required pressure levels.
