Temperature control standard for nitrous oxide storage environment: Normally the storage temperature of nitrous oxide must be strictly controlled between -5℃ and 30℃, as temperature fluctuations can directly affect the pressure inside the cylinder.
In summer, nitrous oxide must be stored in pressure-resistant steel cylinders, placed in a cool and ventilated area, with temperature strictly controlled at ≤30℃, protected from direct sunlight, and kept away from heat sources and flammable materials.
For every 1℃ increase in ambient temperature, the pressure inside the cylinder increases by approximately 0.3 MPa. Exceeding 30℃ may cause the cylinder's safety valve to automatically release the pressure.
Core storage requirements
Container: It must be stored in a dedicated pressure-resistant cylinder (with the interior in a gas-liquid equilibrium state), and replacement or non-professional modification is strictly prohibited.
Temperature control: The temperature inside the warehouse must not exceed 30℃. In summer, measures such as shading, air conditioning, or underground storage should be taken to prevent an explosion caused by a sharp increase in internal pressure within the steel cylinders.
Environmental conditions: Store in a cool, dry, well-ventilated warehouse, protected from light, rain, and moisture. Direct sunlight is strictly prohibited.
Isolation measures: Keep away from sources of fire and heat, store separately from flammable and combustible materials, as well as reducing agents, and avoid mixing them.
Safety precautions: The carbon steel gas cylinder should be fixed upright to prevent impact; the storage area should be equipped with emergency response equipment for leakage, and open flames are strictly prohibited.
